How I Handle Your Data

If you sign up to hear from me, you will only get an email when I have something genuinely valuable to share, never more than that. You can unsubscribe at any time, with one click, no questions asked. I never sell, rent or trade your details to anyone else. If you want to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, just email me and I will sort it out.
This site is run by Carolina Herrera, trading as Take time to BE YOU, based in Bangkok, Thailand. For data protection purposes, I am the "data controller": the person responsible for deciding what personal data is collected here and why. You can reach me at carolina@taketimetobeyou.com about anything in this policy.
I only collect what I need to do the thing you have asked for. Here is every place on this site that collects personal data:

Replying to a message you sent, or running a session you booked, is done on the basis that you asked me to and it is necessary to give you what you requested. Adding you to my mailing list is done only with your consent, given by the act of submitting your email into a sign-up form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing.
I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone, ever. To run this site, a small number of trusted service providers process data on my behalf, only for the purpose stated above:
Each of these is based outside Thailand (in the United States). Where I rely on a service based abroad, I have chosen established providers who publish their own security and data-protection commitments, and your data is only sent to them for the specific purpose above; if you would like a copy of any provider's data processing terms before using a form, email me and I will send them to you.
This site is served only over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS). Coaching notes are kept privately and are never published or shared without your permission. I do not store payment or card details anywhere on this site.
This site does not run advertising trackers or analytics. Fonts are hosted directly on this site rather than pulled from Google, so simply reading a page here does not send your details anywhere. Two things on this site do come from outside providers and can set their own cookies: video embeds (via YouTube's privacy-enhanced player) and the booking calendar (Calendly). Each only loads on the page where you would expect it.
You can ask me, at any time, to:

If you are in Thailand and feel your data has not been handled properly, you may also raise it with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC). If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the same rights under GDPR and may contact your local data protection authority.
This site and my services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from children.
If I change how I handle your data, I will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
